Writing poetry: Love, Suhani

to you, who is more than just surviving life.

Dear Reader,

On an uneventful day, I came across a post regarding a project. "Write 21 poems and we will publish it for you" I sent it to my friend, wondering if my poems were even worth being read by somebody other than me. She assured me, but I couldn't bring myself to join. The idea that somebody else liked my writing was not new but not something I could confidently believe in.

Weeks passed, and I happened to see this ad again. Fateful as it might be, this time the ad called out to me. The idea of consolidating my poems into one book seemed like a leap I was willing to take. So I sat down, days and nights - I worked on my poems, polishing my words, choosing the order, and wondering what message I was giving to the readers.

I thought about it again, again and again. What are these poems about? Only to realise, that these poems are a love letter, simply; to my teens that were ending (really coincidently right after that deadline of submission), to my experiences as a teenager and everything I can remember I pushed through.

So I wrote Love, Suhani.

I describe Love, Suhani as a collection of poems that capture the rawest and most authentic emotions of my heart as I experience life in my youth. From the joy of falling in love to the pain of heartbreak, I poured my soul into every word, hoping to connect with others who have felt the same way.

This poetry writing journey started as a way to comprehend what I was feeling, and it has turned into this hobby and passion for understanding how words are often the way to understand the poet's mind. I have always believed that the power of words is immense. They can heal, inspire, and unite us. That is why I wrote this book. I hope my experience of being a teenager can be a link to you, dear reader. With every poem, I hope to create a connection that transcends the pages of this book.

Love, Suhani is more than just words on paper; it is a journey of the heart. Through my words, I hope to take you on a journey that will touch your soul and remind you of the beauty of love and the power of the human spirit. This book is a tribute to the power of poetry and the beauty of the human experience, and I am honoured to share it with you.
